CONTEST RULES  – Subaru & Saltscapes Staycation 2023

  1. Eligibility

The Contest is only open to any amateur photographer who spends time on Canada’s East Coast, who has reached the age of majority in their province of residence on the date that they entered the Contest. A photograph submission must have been taken on Canada’s East Coast, which includes Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island and Quebec Maritime (including Iles de la Madeleine, Gaspe Peninsula) and be accompanied by a maximum 300-word description. Each photo can be entered in one category only:

We’re great foodies here on the East Coast and we want to see your food and drink snaps! Whether you’re enjoying a cookout on the beach, a meal at a terrific local restaurant, a cocktail party with great local beverages, a fabulous feast on your deck or in your home…show us the goods!
We have thousands of kilometres of shorelines and fabulous beaches on all bodies of water. Whether on rivers or lakes or bounding ocean coasts, supervised or solitary haunts that only a few locals know about, we want your beachy best!
What’s your favourite outdoor pastime? Is it roaming the trails in provincial and national parks? Participating in golf, horseback riding, fishing and other outdoorsy pastimes? Curling up in your garden with a good book? Hunting for waterfalls down country roads? We have so much to explore in our region…let’s see your favourites!
After a couple years of hiatus, the booming festival scene is back in our region and we want to see the fun you’ve had at festivals of the past, or of the present! Whether it’s a small delight like Roots, Rants and Roars, the ever-popular Stanfest, an air show or 4-H event or even a small house concert, we look forward to seeing the fun you’ve captured at local events.

Entries may be colour or black-and-white digital photographs. Moderate digital adjustment (colour correction, cropping, sharpening, etc.) is acceptable. Any image with a watermark or signature will be automatically disqualified.
